Bloom in the Dark | Katherine Bauer
Unprecedented?
by: Lexie Kauffman
Man cannot sway the skies
but we can still ask why.
Why do the winds and the waters
become our adversaries?
Why does a spark turn
into a deadly blaze?
We can still ask how.
How do we unite to fight
a faceless enemy?
But there is the catch—
devastation is our consequence,
the face of our foe.
Miles destroyed from “unprecedented” events.
Hundreds dead at the fault of generations before.
Nature will only get angrier.
We are victims of
the group project of life.
But one person cannot save us this time.
We are all going to fail
if we cannot unite.
