Falling Into Sunspots

by: Jake Price

I wanna fry

I wanna fry

Shoot down the sun

I wanna try

Blow torching holes into the ozone layer

so everyone can get a better tan,

and raising the temperature of the oceans

so we can skinny dip year-round.

We are the Earth’s melanoma.

At least if the world is burning alive

and ending in our lifetime then

I might live long enough to name these

landfills once they turn into continents.

I wanna fry

I wanna fry

I’ll swim in the sun

if I’m gonna die
